A neighborhood grill, built by a neighbor.
"Jump on in — the water is always warm."
The Black Water Grill was born from a simple idea. Founder Christian Breen wanted a place in Salem where neighbors could gather without pretense — somewhere the food felt honest, the pours were generous, and the welcome felt personal.
That idea became a room lined with dark wood, the smell of the grill, and a bar you can sit at alone or with twenty of your closest friends.
Every night we source what's best, hand-cut the steaks, and shake the cocktails to order. Nothing fancier than it needs to be. Nothing simpler than it should be.

A lifelong hospitality operator, Christian opened the doors of the Black Water Grill with one rule: treat every guest like a regular on their first visit.
He can most often be found behind the bar or working the floor, shaking hands and refilling glasses.
